If you’ve come across this blog, you probably know who I am. I am Bekah (Rebekah, Becky, B.Witz, Ashen Nymph … take your pick). To know me, you should know what is important in my life. So here is a list of the most important things in my life:
My Father above the clouds: He loves me and I am here on this earth to reciprocate that love to everyone I meet, and I will not rest until the day I no longer breathe here.
Family: I am a family girl, through and through. I’m the oldest of 7 children, and it’s pretty much amazing to have that role in my life. I love being at home and spending time with my parents and sisters and brothers.
China: This country has a huge role in my life. Three of my siblings are adopted from there, and it was their adoptions that sparked my interest in the country. I’ve been there twice, on short trips, and this summer I am spending two months in that wonderful country, spending time at a Foster Home outside of Beijing and spreading love to the children there.
Music: Wow. To start off, I’ve been playing the violin for the better part of ten years now. The viola has become a learning investment for me over the past two years. I am painstakingly teaching myself piano. I love to mess around on guitar, though I’m terrible at it. I use my violin in worship bands at school very often, and love to play shows with my friends at coffeeshops around Lexington. I’m going to the Contemporary Music Center in the fall to study music management, production, marketing, and performance. I am so excited to see where that all can take me.
